Join the Journey of Yarn Shawl — a Four-Shop Adventure
Have you ever dreamed of knitting or crocheting a beautiful shawl? This fall, we invite you to embark on a Journey of Yarn Shawl—a three month, four-shop experience that combines creativity, community, and the joy of crafting.
You must sign up to join the fun. Use the QR code in the pictures, or you can go to this website: Yarn (paperhabit.com) and click where it says "Sign Up Now".
How It Works:
Visit Four Unique Yarn Shops: Over the course of 8 weeks, you’ll visit one of our four participating shops — a new shop every two weeks.
At each shop, you’ll pick up a unique section of your shawl pattern and purchase the yarn needed for that portion.
Create Your Masterpiece:
Work on knitting or crocheting your shawl section by section, using the yarn from each shop. By the end of the event, you’ll have crafted a stunning shawl that combines the best yarns from all four stores.
Exclusive Pattern Options:
Choose between the knitting or crochet version of the Journey of Yarn Shawl pattern, tailored to your crafting preference.
Interactive Events & Community:
Participants get access to live Zoom tutorials where expert crafters will guide you through each section of the pattern.
Join these fun “Virtual Sip & Knit” events to relax, socialize, and share your progress with fellow participants.

ATTENTION REMOTE CUSTOMERS: You can still participate! Look at the home page or the Yarn menu to find the "Journey of Yarn - Supplies". You can purchase the yarn of your choice, we will mail it to you, and email you the pattern on Saturday Oct. 12!
Event Kick-Off:
Your first stop is Knit This, Purl That at 474 Lindbergh Ave, Livermore, CA. Starting October 12th, you can pick up your first clue and the yarn for the first section of your shawl. Feel free to visit anytime during regular store hours, and if you have any questions, reach us at 925-895-2683.
How the Adventure Works:
• Clue 1: Available October 12th at Knit This, Purl That, Livermore
•Clue 2: Released October 26th at Paper Habit, 1700 McHenry Ave, Modesto, 209-567-0605.
•Clue 3: Released November 9th at Aranea Craft Studio, 943 C Street, Hayward, 510-274-5050.
•Clue 4 (Final Clue): Released November 23rd at Needful Things, 2243 Geer Road, Turlock, 209-669-9009.
Each shop will provide you with the pattern section and have yarn available to purchase for that portion of the shawl. Don’t forget to choose between the knitting or crochet version or try both! Check each shop before visiting for their individual shop hours.
