Right before the designer, Ahoysailer, moved to Europe, the Canadian Prairie girl in her became obsessed with ‘Buffalo Plaid’ and designed this cowl based on Rob Roy’s tartan which was introduced to North American by a descendant of Rob Roy, Jock McCluskey. Hence why this pattern is called the McCluskey Cowl. Our kit includes the pattern and two skeins of Malabrigo Chunky.
