My husband Jim and I became the owners of Knit This, Purl That! in January of 2012. I learned to knit at this store about 5 years before buying it and have been hooked ever since. We have been Tri-Valley residents for over 30 years and have raised our three boys here.

Knit This, Purl That was a retail yarn and knitting and crochet supply store in Livermore, CA until July 2025. We specialized in very high quality yarn, needles, and accessories. Our kits feature patterns from both world famous designers and unique one-of-a-kind projects designed by our talented staff. In the summer of 2025, the store physical inventory transitioned to new owners, which will be sold in a new store, Stitch & Revel, also in Livermore, CA. All are great yarns, kits, and accessories can be found here!

However, Knit This, Purl That is not going away! We will be hosting knitting and crochet events, trips, and get togethers. Sandy Rowney's unique original patterns will be sold thru Ravelry, and featured on this website, and she will continue to teach both at Stitch & Revel and remotely.
