INSTRUCTOR: Lorraine LEVEL: Advanced beginner FEE: $50.00 2 classes
I am offering two classes for the fall one is a set of night classes and one is a set of day classes. Two student minimum.
This class is the night class, scheduled for:
Tuesday, September 25, 6-8pm
Tuesday, October 23, 6-7pm
An elegant cover for fall and winter. I like the construction of this garment. The design creates a nice drape in the sleeves, without making the body of the piece droopy.
This class will cover : reading your gauge, checking pattern fit (cuff length, sleeve length, drape, width of neck), pattern over view. I will review the magic loop technique, adding a new yarn ball, knitting with two balls of yarn, placement of stitch markers, dropped stitch fixing and picking up stitches, In addition I will offer some simple variations for stitch techniques to create your own unique look. This is mostly a stockinette stitch project so an advanced- beginner should be ready to try this.
An advanced-beginner knows how to cast on, bind off, read a basic pattern, create a gauge, has completed at least two projects that have written directions.
